Nothing in here matches.
Every border in one place. Narrow it with the boxes, click one to copy it.
The society's own borders are not sorted this way, so choosing one hides them.
Basic sign rules
Signs need to be attached to something and cannot just float in mid-air.
Signs must be on a prop, like a crate, barrel or wagon, or a building or wall where that applies.
Do not place signs on wooden boards, haystacks, plants, fire hydrants, walls next to the shop,
or anything that does not make sense for shops. A good rule of thumb: could this realistically
hold items to sell?
If not, kindly tell the person their shop location does not meet the guidelines. Less hassle,
and they will not need to pay again for a new sign.
Signs should not be placed on doors that can open.
Never place a sign out of reach of newspaper staff.
Floating signs: log them in #deleted-signs and delete them.
Walk around a sign before you place it. They can look attached head on and be floating from
the side. Happy with it from every angle, then place it.
Signs must be era appropriate and cannot break server rules.
Troll signs may get you removed from the society.
Not allowed: "Diddy's Trap House", ERP related signs, slurs, and the like.
Signs must not be too long, wide or large. Use common sense, nothing loud or obnoxious.
The sign has to fit on the object it is placed on.
Do not put single items on their own lines unless the item is very long.
Do not double space lines unless you have to.
Signs with shapes are not allowed.
A sign that breaks the rules: log it in #deleted-signs and delete it.
Do not remove or edit society signs unless the owner asks. If a society sign breaks the
guidelines, tell the heads or open a ticket.
Player stores
For single player shops the sign goes on the shop itself. Not behind it, not next to it, not on
an adjacent wall.
A sign that is not on the object the shop is attached to counts as improperly placed.
Even if they ask you to put it elsewhere, say no. A happy customer is the goal, but not at
the risk of a strike for a pattern of it.
Up to eight items only, four buying and four selling.
"And more" counts as an item.
Food and drink count as two.
Avoid book page signs. Point anyone wanting more at the pinboard.
One sign per player owned store, camps included.
If the store is hidden and needs a second sign to direct people to it, take the person's P.O.
and open a ticket for the Heads to approve.
A player claiming a whole MLO is still one sign only.
No signs outside on MLO windows. Inside, on the shop itself.
No signs for shops that have not been placed yet. Spots cannot be held.
Societies
Societies, meaning saloons, gunsmiths, stables and the like, may have more than one sign.
Only ONE "No Shops" sign each.
A "No Shops" sign goes beside an entrance, not off to the side or round the back. No usable
door on that side means the society has no control of the shops there.
An employee list may show up to four names and the business P.O.
The owner is one of the four and must be on it.
One employee list per business.
Signs listing several businesses in town, usually at the mayoral offices, are no longer allowed.
Deleting a society sign for a rule break is for the Heads. If the owner asks, you can delete it.
Otherwise open a ticket.
Camps and houses
"No Trespassing" and "Private Property" signs are not allowed.
Delete any "No Trespassing" sign you find.
"Private Property" signs may be left up.
Walk in homes may have several signs. TP homes may have one, since a TP homeowner owns the door
and nothing more.
A sign on someone's property needs the owner's permission. If you were lied to, go back and
remove it.
Special signs
Claimed or reserved grave signs in towns are Senior and above only, and need approval from the Heads.
A grave sign in a public cemetery is $7500. The price is not negotiable.
Anyone wanting one should P.O. the newspaper to arrange a meeting with a Senior or above.
A grave on private property, a house or a camp, needs no approval and is charged the normal
sign price.
RP signage, blood stains, carvings, notes and so on, goes on private property or out of town
limits in open areas only.
Three lines at most.
Temporary. Go back and remove it after about a week.
No signs in public RP spots.
